We care about how things are made, printed, and thrown away. This is what we’re doing now, and how we’re trying to keep getting better.
Garments
Our garments are made by AS Colour, a NZ blank apparel brand. All their factories are either WRAP or BSCI certified, and all are OEKO-TEX certified. You can read about their supply chain here and their environmental responsibility work here.
Waste
We plan production to use fewer materials, create fewer misprints, and keep more offcuts out of landfill. Our workflows are reviewed and tightened over time as better local recycling and recovery options appear.
Inks
Our print gear is maintained and calibrated on a schedule so we get accurate results without wasteful re-runs. We choose inks and processes that balance durability, colour quality, and reduced impact, and we adopt new options when they meet those benchmarks.
Packaging
We are moving packaging towards kraft paper, cardboard, and paper-based tapes, and away from unnecessary plastics. Where plastic is still required for protection, we keep it minimal and keep updating our approach as better alternatives arrive.
Product Life
We reduce textile waste by favouring durable blanks, encouraging realistic order quantities, and seeking reuse or donation paths where appropriate. Over time, we aim to connect more of our work with circular and repair-focused initiatives in our community.
Long-Term Commitments
Our sustainability work runs on ongoing goals, public sources, and steady improvements rather than one-off claims. If you want the detail behind any product or process, we’re always ready to walk you through how it’s made, printed, and packed.
Backing Bendigo's Creative Community
Artist Collaboration
In 2026, we aim to run a small number of artist-led projects each year, such as limited-run prints, apparel, or small exhibitions. These collaborations will prioritise fair payment, clear credit, and creative control for the artists involved.
Community Support
We’ll reserve a portion of our production capacity for local community groups, not‑for‑profits, and grassroots initiatives. The focus will be on projects that add something positive to Bendigo’s cultural, social, or environmental life.
Opportunities
We’ll look for practical ways to make our space, skills, and equipment more accessible to people who don’t usually get a clear path into design or print. That might mean design support, studio visits, or small runs for emerging artists.
