A small business website in Bendigo can cost anything from a do-it-yourself builder at the price of a few coffees a month to a custom build in the tens of thousands. Most local businesses need something in between: a fast site with a page for each service, words that make people call, and the basics Google needs to find you.
Here is what a website costs with us, what makes any quote go up or down, and how to tell a fair quote from one that will cost you later.

The short answer: our prices
We publish our web design prices, so you don't have to book a call to find out if you're in the right ballpark.
Website, $100 a month. Up to 5 pages, fast on a phone, hosted and kept up to date.
Website Pro, $290 a month. Up to 15 pages, a page for every service and suburb, plus quote and booking forms.
Website Custom, from $990 a month. Online shops, bookings, customer logins and more than one location.
Monthly websites have a 12 month minimum, then the site is yours. If you're on our Department plan there's no build fee at all. And if you'd rather pay once, we quote a one-off build up front after a strategy call, so you know the price before any work starts.
What actually moves the price
Whoever you get a quote from, the same handful of things decide the number.
How many pages you need. A home page, an about page and a contact page is a small job. A page for each service and each town you work in is more work, and it's also what helps you show up when people search for that service.
What the site has to do. Bookings, an online shop, quote forms, customer logins and more than one location all add work.
Who writes the words. Writing the copy is often the slowest part of a website. We write it for you, which is why our quotes include it.
Photos. Stock photos are cheap, but real photos of your work and your team do more to win the call. If you don't have them, a content shoot day fixes that for the website and your socials at once.
Looking after it. Hosting, updates and small changes after launch are either in the price or billed on top. Ask which.
What every website quote should include
Whoever builds it, a website for a Bendigo business should come with these as standard. If a quote leaves them out, ask why.
Copy written for the people you want to call you, not filler text.
Local SEO setup: a page for each service, page titles written for what people in your area search, and your Google Business Profile linked to the site. Our guide to local SEO in Bendigo explains why that matters.
Forms and call tracking, so you can see which enquiries the site brought in.
A site that loads fast on a phone, where most of your visitors are.
Ownership: your domain in your name, and a clear answer on when the site itself is yours.
Time for tweaks after launch. Ours includes 30 days.
Our small business website checklist goes through each of these in more detail.
Monthly or one-off: which is better?
A monthly website spreads the cost and includes hosting and updates, so there's nothing else to arrange. It suits a business that wants the site looked after and doesn't want a big bill up front. A one-off build costs more on day one but there's no monthly fee for the site itself, which suits a business with someone in-house who'll keep it current.
Either way, the site should end up yours. Be wary of any deal where you rent a website forever and lose it if you stop paying.
Quick tip: before you compare prices, write down the five things you want visitors to do. Call, book, get a quote, find you, see your work. A quote that doesn't mention how the site does those is pricing a brochure, not a website.
Red flags in a website quote
Guaranteed rankings. Nobody can promise you the top spot on Google. Anyone who does is guessing.
The domain registered in their name. Your domain should always be in yours.
No words included. If you have to write every page yourself, the cheap quote gets expensive in your own time.
Vague ongoing fees. Hosting, updates and changes should be spelled out before you sign.
A Bendigo example
For Tonik Recovery, a recovery studio in Bendigo, we built a page for each treatment, from infrared sauna to cold tub, with the price and a Book now button on every one. That's the pattern that works for most local businesses: one clear page per thing you sell, each with a way to act on it. What to do next
If you know roughly what you need, the prices above will tell you which option fits. If you're not sure, book a strategy call or start with a free brand check of your website, Google listing and socials, and we'll tell you honestly what would help most. We work with businesses across Bendigo and the towns around it, from Strathfieldsaye to Castlemaine, and a website can sit on its own or inside one of our marketing plans.
