The essentials for every school event
Direction signs. Corflute signs with arrows to the entrance, parking, toilets, first aid and the main activity areas. They are reusable every year if you keep the wording generic: "Parking" with an arrow, not "2026 Fete Parking".
A welcome banner. A vinyl banner on the front fence or at the entrance tells people they are in the right place. Include the school name, the event name and the date. It is the most visible sign on the day, so make it big.

Classroom door signs. Simple A4 or A3 signs naming the room, the year level and what visitors will see inside.

Price boards for each stall. Laminated A4 or A3 posters survive the day and cost little. Use item names and prices in a size you can read from a metre back in a queue.
A sponsor thank-you sign. If local businesses support you, give them a large banner or corflute board at the entrance. Sponsors expect to be seen, so put them somewhere prominent and keep their logos off the direction signs.
Something to sell or give away. Branded items can raise money as well as spirit. Printed totes or stubby holders with the school or event logo work well for a fundraiser, and they keep the school's name in use long after the day.
